BRADDON LEE ESLER
Braddon Lee Esler, "Bill," died Dec. 31, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was 80. He was born to Earl and Helen Esler in Mason City, Iowa on June 14, 1934.
After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Bill lived in Orange County, Calif., where he married Randi Jean (Smith) Esler. He earned an associate degree from Orange Coast College and was a truck driver. He opened several gas stations and Orange German Motors in Anaheim, Calif., and Orange, Calif. He had a passion for mechanics, aircraft, football and driving truck. Bill eventually retired to the Chemehuevi Indian Reservation in Lake Havasu, Calif., where he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his sons, Ryan Blake Esler, of Havasu Landing, Calif., and Val Esler, of San Diego, Calif.; daughters, Daylee Ann Esler, of Havasu Landing, Calif., and Kari Esler; sister, Marnie Esler, of California, and three granddaughters, including his beloved granddaughter, Bree Moreno, of Havasu Landing, Calif. He is also survived by a special, close friend, Amber Leonard, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Bill impacted many lives in many ways. He will be missed by everyone who was fortunate to have known him. He was a hard man with a very soft heart.
