Please share a memory of LaVon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LaVon Eames, 78, passed away on January 4, 2015. She was born as Lavon Law on July 14, 1936 in Meridian, Idaho to Milford and Edith Law. After high school, she went on a two year mission. She worked for many industries during her lifetime, including logging, saw mill, and was a restaurant owner. She had many fascinating stories to tell and kept in touch with friends old and new through social networking. On August 27, 1959, she wed Albert Eames. They moved from Texas to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in the early 1990's. Here, she worked for Havasu Regional Medical Center on the administrative side where she formed many life-long friendships. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was one of the infamous "Four Tumblers," a nickname the group of friends were given because they had all fallen in a short period of time. LaVon is survived by her daughter, Valerie Eames (Raul Guillen Jr.) of Burbank, California; brother, Earl Law of Weiser, Idaho; sisters, Carol Earl of Tremonton, Utah, Thelma Stoddard of Victor, Montana, Marie Christensen of Corvallis, Montana, and Gwen Grover of Logan, Utah. She also leaves behind two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven in 1997 and her husband Albert in 2005. A visitation will take place at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Saturday service will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with a brief visitation and family prayer at 10AM. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at the VA Cemetery in Boulder, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in LaVon's name. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to LaVon's family at www.lietzfrazefuneralhome.com.
