Obituary of Sam S Galia

SAM GALIA Sam S. Galia passed away at 91 years of age on January 6, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Maria and Mike Galia in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, 1923. Sam was wed to Betty on January 15, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan; they were married for 62 years. Sam was a retired machinist and lived in Oak Park, Michigan for over 60 years. He enjoyed cars and coin collecting. He was involved with Eagles, VFW, and Moose. Sam is survived by his son, Michael A. Galia; daughters, June M. Harry, Kathaleen J. Pfeifer; sister Antonina Smith. He had 12 grandchildren and 12 great-children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Galia; parents Maria and Mike Galia; 3 children, Mike, June, Kathy; sister, Nina Smith; grandchildren, Christopher, Casey Harry, Sam Galia and Michelle Galia.
