William "Bill" Paff
September 27, 1929 - January 10, 2015
William "Bill" Lawrence Paff passed away at his home surrounded by his family in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at the age of 85. Bill was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Kathleen Ritzer & John J. Paff. Bill has been reunited in death with his wife Pauline of 33 years and son Joseph Paff.
Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for the Department of Navy for 35 years. He began his career with the Navy at China Lake Naval Weapons Center in Ridgecrest, CA and was very instrumental in the development of theSidewinder Missile during the Vietnam War. He and his family later relocated to Bangor Submarine Base in Silverdale, WA where he concluded his career at the SWFPAC facility as the Administrative Officer.
Bill has always been an avid sportsman; he was able to enjoy the birth of waterskiing, boating, fishing of all types, hunting, crabbing, and camping. Bill introduced and shared his love of these sports with three generations of his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, John Paff and daughter in-law Marsha Paff of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; his 3 brothers, Joseph Paff of Petrolia, California, Kenneth Paff of Detroit, Michigan, Jack Paff of Cleveland, Tennessee; 3 sisters, Kay Gurrino of Boise, Idaho, Sally Sneider of Boardman, Ohio, Nancy Bass of Ridgecrest, California; 3 grandchildren, Shannon Stowers , Randy Paff, Bradley Paff; and 2 great-grandchildren, Aubree Stowers , Quinn Stowers and their father Joshua Stowers of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Bill was the strongest, most loving and caring father and grandfather anyone could ask for, and will always be in our hearts and forever missed!
