Obituary of Donald Lee Taff
Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donald Lee Taff passed away at his home early January 19, 2015 with family by his side. He was affectionately known to some as "Dapper Don" or "Uncle Don".
Don was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on January 2, 1935 to E.N. Taff and Evalena (Dunham) Taff.
He joined the Navy in 1955-1959 assigned aboard the Subtender USS Nerus as an electrician. After discharge he went back into retail and also did carpentry work.
Don is survived by his beautiful wife of 41 years who he met in Costa Mesa, California and married October 6, 1973 in the chapel at the El Toro Marine Base. He is also survived by his son, Scott Taff of Moore, Oklahoma; his daughters, Dana Kortemeir of Mustang, Oklahoma and Noel Wyatt of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Don had a passion for golf and would play every Wednesday with the Hackers until two years ago due to some health issues.
Don was a very loving and hard working man that loved his family very much and was a friend to everyone he met. He will be missed enormously.
Honey, I know you are now at peace with the Lord - Blessed be His Name. We love you Daddy/Papa. Now Go Play Golf.
