Obituary of Donald Sherman Stone

Donald Stone of Lake Havasu passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2015. Don served as Supervisor at Mission Industries for 26 years where he achieved many awards for his service and was loved by all of his co-workers. Don was the son of Harold and Eleanor Stone, born in Camden, New Jersey on June 6th 1938. His brother was Harold Stone who was born on June 6th, 5 years earlier. Don brought his family to Lake Havasu City 36 years ago after visiting our city and its newly planned community in the late 1970s. They bought a home and moved from New Jersey. Don is survived by his son, Daryl Stone and wife, Shelly Stone; 2 grandchildren, Larissa and Danny Stone. Don was going to be a great-grandfather this upcoming September, a gift from his 1st born grandson, Danny Stone and Kalee. Also survived by his son, Rodney Stone and his wife, Rachel Stone and their 2 sons, Jack and Trevor Stone who Don loved very much. Don served 4 years in the US Navy and 10 years Elks Lodge locally. Don's friends around his workplace and our city were a huge part of his life and we know he was very loved by all of them. Don was a very loved father, grandfather, and father-in-law as well. His infectious laugh and his love will be in all of our hearts forever! Don's family will be having a "Celebration of Life" in the next few weeks at the Elks Lodge. We hope to have the honor of all of Don's friends present to honor all the life, love, and laughter that were enjoyed with Don.
