Obituary of Eleanor Anna Vicker

Eleanor Anna Vicker, a 43 year resident of Lake Havasu City passed away on Feb 13, 2016 at the glorious age of 95 years. Eleanor was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on Sept 2, 1920. She married her husband, Sidney Vicker on Jul 30, 1938 in Chicago, where they brought into this world a loving family of 6 sons. Eleanor was a very dedicated wife and mother, and she led with love in everything she did. She was ambitious, very capable, and extremely successful in all of her endeavors. Eleanor has left a legacy of love in the hearts of her 6 sons, and their families. She loved to cook, sew, quilt, and take care of those around her. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. She showed us a great love and will be sorely missed, but she will always be with us because of the beautiful person she was. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Ron (Mary), Jerry (Nancy), Bill (Connie), Dan (Lori), Jim (Karen), and Tom (Marilyn), plus 12 grand children, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Jerry and Nancy are longtime Havasu residents, and they were untiring in their dedicated assistance for her in her declining years. Eleanor's sons and their families stayed in close contact and celebrated her birthdays each year despite the distance from their homes. Eleanor spent the last 5 years of her life at the Prestige Assisted Living Facility at Claremont in Lake Havasu City, AZ where she received excellent care. A memorial in celebration of Eleanor's life will be held on March 12, 2016, 11:00 am. at The Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2791 Inca Drive, where she was an active member. Luncheon to follow.
