Obituary of Natale Arthur Stellerine

Natale (Nate) Arthur Stellerine, also known as "Nate the Great", was born Jan. 23, 1936 to Arthur and Marion Stellerine in Trenton, N.J. He passed away March 11 in Las Vegas. Nate graduated from Hamilton High, Trenton, N.J. in 1954. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 to 1963 receiving an honorable discharge as a SPC E-5. He worked for Stanley Home Products from 1956 to 1975 and Thriftway from 1969 to 1978. He vacationed in Lake Havasu City and fell in love with the area. Then in 1978, he moved to Lake Havasu and became a full-time resident. He worked for the McCulloch Corporation from 1978 to 1981 before working at Mission Linen from which he retired. He also worked as a newspaper carrier for more than 15 years for the Today's New-Herald until his death. Nate was an avid bowler for sixty years, being most proud of three "perfect" games. He loved to play blackjack, host barbecues for family and friends and holiday get-togethers. He enjoyed eating out weekly with his friends; his favorite place to go was Rosati's Pizza. He loved his pets, both dogs and cats throughout the years. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor. Nate is survived by his son, Natale (Nate) Stellerine Jr. and wife, Andrea of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Donna Keenan of Covington, Ga.; sister, Betty Yost of Las Vegas; his two grandchildren, Courtney and Joshua Stellerine of Lake Havasu City. He is preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Judy Stellerine and his parents, Arthur and Marion Stellerine. Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd., with Kathy Kenney officiating. Military honors will be presented by the VFW, Lake Havasu City.
