Lenore Helen Barnes, Age 91, a resident of Kingman, AZ passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1923 in Staten Island, New York. She attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School in New Brighton. In 1963, Lee travesed with the family to Covina, California where they set up a new home. She learned to drive a car and spent many years taking care of foster children. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Barnes, parents, Julia and Valente Pelka, sister, Stephanie Kostbar and three brothers, Chester, Benjamin and Edward Pelka. She was proudly "The Last Pelka Standing". She is survived by her two daughters; Tiffany Virginia Ladd-Hoover and Elizabeth Barnes, son-in-law; Eldon Hoover, three grandchildren; Joshua Steven Porenza, Julianna Margarete-Lee Proenza and Joseph Fisher, Nephews; Chester Pelka, Thomas Pelka, niece; Kathy Amendolla and numerous extended family and friends. No memorial services are scheduled at this time. Mrs. Barnes will be buried with her beloved husband William at the Riverside National Cemeter, Riverside, California.
