Obituary of Roger D. Erickson

Roger D. Erickson passed away on March 18, 2015, just shy of his 77th birthday. Roger was born and raised in Newberg Corners, Wisconsin where his mother, Marjorie and father, Raymond ran a small convenient gas station (Erickson's General SStore). Later, Roger moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin where he began to work at the American Motors Company plant. After working 37 years in the auto industry, Roger retired in 1994 and headed west to Lake Havasu City, Arizona with his wife, Barb and their 2 boys. Roger enjoyed deer hunting, horseshoes, watching the Packers (most of the time), tinkering in the garage, and the occasional card game, but most of all he enjoyed being around his friends and loved ones. Roger is survived by his wife, Barbara Erickson, and kids, Brad and Katie Erickson, Debbie and Steve Hartfield, Chris Erickson, Ryan and Nikki Erickson, Mike and Patsy Lippert, Craig and Linda Lippert, Tammy and Dave Venturini, and last but not least, Kari and Gary Strom. Combined, Roger was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded by his mother and father, Raymond and Marjorie Erickson, and his brothers, James and Thomas Erickson. A family get together celebrating Rogers life will be held in Lake Havasu. In lieu of sending flowers, (and to keep the Mars Candy Company in business), next time you're in the grocery store line, purchase a Snickers candy bar and enjoy it in Roger's honor.
