George W. Mabry loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. George W. Mabry passed away in his home on March 19, 2015 after a four year battle with cancer. George was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 7, 1938. He met Sharon Thompson Dodge in Kingman in 1984 and they married in 1987.George was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather loved by all of his extended family. He was in the submarine service with the Navy for eight years. After the Navy, he took up truck driving, where he retired after 35 years. George is preceded in death by his mother, Edwina Gahring, and his father, George A. Mabry. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sharon; his two daughters, Lisa (Art) Rich of Surprise, AZ and Kim (John) Tartamella of Mentone CA; two granddaughters, Natalie (Gene) Ratcliff of Apple Valley, CA and Nicole Gonzales of Phoenix; one great-granddaughter, Adriana Ratcliff; brothers, Dennis (Barbara) Adams and David Mabry; sister, Kathy (Jack) Dobbs; stepmother Ann Mabry; stepsister; Jan (Bob) Hammond; Dean ( Lillian) Gahring as well as a large extended family; Gigi Dodge, El Segundo, CA, Sheri Dodge and Tami (Danny) See, Kingman, AZ eight grandchildren, 12 grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly. George loved to hunt and fish and loved the outdoors. He put up a great battle for his life and now we know he is running instead of just trying to walk. We know he is very happy with all the outpouring of love and support for Sharon.
