Obituary of Steven Thomas Iles

Steven Thomas Iles passed away peacefully at home, April 3, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 26, 1959 in Compton, California to Tom and Shirley Iles. He grew up in Lakewood, California. During his 33 year career at BNSF Railroad and his years growing up in Lakewood, he met and made lifelong friends many of whom are more like brothers. Steve and his wife Kay moved their family to Lake Havasu, Arizona in 1993. Whether the family was riding quads and RZRs in the sand or fishing, boating or floating on the lake, he always enjoyed sharing a "cold one" with a friend. He loved his family and the desert life. Some of you called him Steve or Stevie, others called him Papa Smurf or Brother Iles. We all loved him and all called him friend. We'll miss his smile, his warm hugs and huge heart. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Tom and his son, Jeremy. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay; daughter, Shelby; son, Jason and family, Jessica and granddaughter, Cielle. His mother, Shirley; sister, Cheryl and brother-in-law, Glenn; sister, Kathy and brother-in-law, Doug; niece, Stacey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Services are Friday, April 17th, 12pm at God's Grace Church, 1535 El Camino Drive, Lake Havasu, AZ 86403. Celebration of Life to follow on the island at London Bridge Beach, 1340 McCulloch Blvd., Cabanas 1 & 2. Potluck, BYO chairs and picnic stuff.
