Obituary of Ruth Joanne Young

Jo Young, 77, passed away on April 12, 2015 at her home in Lake Havasu City. She was born to Lonnie and Velona (Goldy) Scroggins in Ashland Oregon on September 15, 1937. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Jo married her high school sweetheart, Joe. As a stay at home Air Force pilot's wife, she lived in Europe and the southwest U.S, raising their 2 children. Upon retirement from the Air Force, they returned to Oregon where Jo engaged herself as an administrative assistant in the home decorations business. In 1995, they retired to Lake Havasu City and continued to travel the world over, visiting 85 countries and all seven continents. Jo is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe, of Lake Havasu City; son, Thad Young and wife, Heather of Surprise, AZ; daughter, Brenda Jacobson and husband, Jeff of Celina, TX; sister, Mary Yashkus and husband, John of Yuma, AZ; and 5 grandchildren, Ryan Jacobson, Chris Young, Natalie Jacobson, Rachel Young and Jillian Young.
