Obituary of James Richard Kennedy

James "Jim" Richard Kennedy, born August 29, 1937, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2015 at Joan and Diana Hospice Home. He was an Honorary Navy Veteran: Petty Officer, 3rd class aboard the U.S.S. Epping Forest. He was awarded a letter of commendation for saving his ship. A very devoted husband and father, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years. Beverly; a daughter, Sharla Hailey; his granddaughter, Jennifer; and three great-grandsons, Jonah, Christahn and Naithahnael. A memorial will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 610 Eastern Ave. at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2015. All persons welcome. In honor of Jim Kennedy, there will also be military honors after service.
