Obituary of Wallace Bryant Smith

Wallace Bryant Smith, "Wally", beloved husband of Beverly Snyder-Smith, went to be with his Lord on May 15, 2015 in lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born July 6, 1932 in Abilene, Texas. Wally is survived by his wife, Beverly; sister, Helen Engel of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Linda Engelage of Hermitage, Tennessee; son, Mike Smith(Korene) of Citrus Heights, CA; son, Bill Smith (Elaine) of Folsom, CA; son, Steve Smith of Orangevale, CA; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Wallace is also survived by his step-children, Lee Bryant, Pamela Wang, Bill Bryant, Patrick Bryant, and 6 grandchildren. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Smith, Sr. and Ruby Smith; sister, Bonnie Jean; wife, Shirley Smith, mother of his children; and Nancy Bryant Smith, mother of his step-children. During his life he lived in several cities in Texas, and in Alsea, Oregon, moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1997. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and a very good gardener. Wally and Beverly were married in 2014. He developed a real love for the old Gospel Hymns. Evenings would find the two of them singing around the piano. Wally had a great bass voice and they occasionally sang duets together in their church. A Memorial service will be held on June 6, 2015 at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship, 2700 Jamaica Boulevard South, Lake Havasu City, Arizona at 11:00 am.
