Obituary of Ivan "Birth name - Evan Michael Shefchik

Ivan G. Sheffy, 88, of Lake Havasu City passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 after a short illness. He was born on December 17, 1924 in Pilsen, WI. "Chic" moved to Lake Havasu City 27 years ago from Pinedale, WY where he homesteaded a thousand acre ranch. He was Vice-President for 11 years at St. Vincent DePaul and was a Salvation Army bell ringer during the holidays. He was a church cantor, a long-time member of the church and community choirs and community theater. He enjoyed playing cards, ranching, and watching all sports especiall6y the Packers. He is survived by step-son Kenneth Badget of Cowley, WY; son Gregory Sheffy of Vancouver, WA; step-daughter Sharon Eckhardt of Guernsey, WY; daughters Elizabeth Slaughter of Diamondville, WY, Linda Sheffy of Cheyenne, WY, Theresa Grove of Littleton, CO, Vanessa Reynolds of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Lisa Gillette of Newport, WA; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church with Thomas Kawai officiating. The family requests that donations be made in his name to St. Vincent DePaul or the Salvation Army.
