Mary E. Wiland, 74, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, in the loving care of Utopia Assisted Living, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born March 4, 1941, and was married to Robert E. Wiland on August 15, 1975, in Erie Pennsylvania. Together, they moved their blended family to Lake Havasu City in 1976.
Mary worked as a manager, bartender, and haberdasher. She enjoyed playing scrabble and poker. She loved western movies, and John Wayne. Mary was a very caring and giving individual. A testament to her nature was all the friendships she made throughout her life.
Mary is survived by her children, Rick Adams (Tracy) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Jodi Mainville of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Ranee Claxton (Richard) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Bob Wiland Jr. (Diane) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Bill Wiland (Diane) of Miliani, Hawaii; brother, Bill Shaffer of Desert Hills, AZ; grandchildren, Michael Adams of Las Vegas, NV, Christina Quick (Jon) of Lee's Summit MO, Josh Claxton of Phoenix, AZ, Stephanie Robertson (Nolan) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Bryan Wiland of Bakersfield, CA, Jenna Wiland of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Valerie Wiland of Boulder, CO.
Mary is preceded in death by her spouse, Robert E Wiland; parents, Albert R Shaffer, and Mary A Shaffer; and brothers, Charles and John Shaffer.
