Obituary of Joe Ornales Garcia
Please share a memory of Joe to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joe Ornales Garcia passed away peacefully at his home with family present. He was born to Jose Garcia and Tomasa (Ornales) Garcia in Denver, CO.
Prior to his retirement in 1995 and his move to Lake Havasu, Joe was employed by G.E.Atomic Division, Sears Distribution Center and Argosystems in California. He volunteered at Our Lady of the Lake soup kitchen, and morning coffee, pick-up and delivery donated goods. He also helped the Lions with several of their sales. First and foremost he loved his family, camping, travel and parties. He made several trips to Hawaii, Cancun, Mexico, Canada and many trips to Wisconsin for family reunions.
Joe is preceded in death by both parents, Jose and Tomasa Garcia; siblings, Alvino, Cy, Pete, Paul, Alfred, Aurora, Adela; and an infant granddaughter, Lydia. He is survived by his wife, Chris Levas-Garcia; his children, Rocky, Mario, Matthew, Rosilla, Tammy (David) Sandoval and Yvonee (Ben) Grimmer; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
All of your tears, joys, loves and faith carried you through this life. Enjoy the rest of the journey and smile down on all of us. You are loved, you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.
A rosary will be held on Monday, June 8 at 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Our Lady of the Lake Family Parish Center.
Special thanks to my angels, Mariana Schendel, who was there from day one and to my sister-in-law Rosemary Shanahan. The family requests that any donations go to Alzheimer's Foundation and American Cancer Society.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
