Nell Mae McCorkle passed away on March 28, 2006 in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She was born in Bethesda, Ohio. Shortly afterward her family moved to New Castle, Indiana, where she attended school and met her former husband, Harold S. McCorkle. After they married they moved to Chicago, IL; and bought a home in Park Forest, IL.Nell Mae opened a private practice as an electrologist. She was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and she served as president of the Chicago Heights Chapter. She was also very proud of being a member of the State and local Color Team.She moved to lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1970, built her home and opened her electrologist practice. She also maintained her membership in the Ladies Auxiliary ofVFW.Mae loved the river and her boat. Her favorite time was when she on the river.She is survived by her son, Terry S. McCorkle and his wife Sandy, eight grandchildren (Ida, Terry Jr., Tammy, Samuel, Matthew, Mira, Ruth Ann, Joshua and Charles Duffey), eight great grandchildren (Michael, Kail Mae, Christina, Tera Hannah, Kyrene Ida, Molly and Roman Janes), and her niece, Pat Scott.She will be deeply missed.
