Obituary of Marion LIETZ

Marion Hattie Lietz 84, died peacefully Tuesday April 30, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born August 22, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to William Koelpien and Frieda "Schultz" Koelpien.Marion and her late husband moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona 17 years ago from Phoenix after moving from Chicago, Illinois.She worked for Valley Distributors as a marker in Phoenix, Arizona for seven years.Marion is survived by her twin sons, Walter Lietz and his wife Donna of Lake Havasu City and William Lietz and his wife Lori of Phoenix, five granddaughters, Kristen Lietz-Aldridge and her husband Mike of Lake Havasu City, Danielle Stello and her husband Jasen of Lake Havasu City, Brittany Lietz of San Juan Capistrano, California, Brooke Doran of Chandler and Erin Doran of Phoenix, four grandsons, Bill Lietz of Phoenix, Bryan and his finance Jennifer of Phoenix, Brandon Lietz of Phoenix and Nicholas Lietz of San Juan Capistrano, California, two great grandsons Michael, Colton and a great grandbaby on the way, two sisters Dorothy Meier of Chicago, Illinois and Lorraine Chesney and her husband Joe of Chicago, Illinois and her best friend and companion Patches.Marion was preceded in by her husband of 56 years Chester, parents William and Frieda Koelpien, four brothers Max Koelpien, Hank Koelpien, Clarence Koepien and Harold Koelpien and sisters Bernice Koelpien and Emma Puls.Marion volunteered at Havasu Regional Medical Center as a pink lady and enjoyed her many meals and friends at the Senior Center.She loved life, walking and really enjoyed pulling the slot handles. She will be very missed by all who knew her.Visitation will be from 3 - 5 PM and 6 - 8 PM Friday May 3, 2002 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.Funeral services will be at 3 PM Saturday, May 4, at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Pastor Craig Larson and Pastor Mel Soderberg officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.A reception will be held at the home of Walt Lietz following the burialTill we see you again Grandma, we all love you.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
