Albert E. Wink, 86, passed away August 6, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on April 4, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Albert Wink and Matilda "Harris"Albert has lived in Lake Havasu City for 16 years, moving to Arizona 27 years ago from Philadelphia where he was an engineer 30 years for the US Government. He also worked as a maintenance engineer for the Scottsdale School District for 3 years.He proudly served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Wink was a past member of the Elks Lodge and the Loyal Order of Moose in Phoenix, Arizona. Albert enjoyed sports such as baseball, football and golf.He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Darlene Wink of Lake Havasu; daughters Betty Carpenter of Sun City, Arizona, Linda Donnelly of Las Vegas, Nevada and Vicki Didio of Henderson, Nevada; stepsons Robert Richards of Phoenix, Arizona and Terry Gabby of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with the Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. The VFW Post #9401 will be holding military honors.The family request donations to be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
