Dr. Michael Bassil, 66, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on August 14, 2002. He was born on July 27, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, New York, son of the late Michael and Minnie Bassil.Dr. Bassil had been a resident of Lake Havasu for 6 years.He is survived by his sister, Maylin Romanelli of Fishkill, New York; a nepew, Dr. Vincent Romanelli of Chicago, Illinois; nieces Sandy Ticehurst of Lavalette, New Jersey, Robin Ballo of Unadilla, New York, Lisa Romanelli of Bronksville, New York and Gail Archer of Brookfield, Connecticut.A memorial service will be held Monday, August 19, 2002, 4:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
