Jake Frederick Mack, 84, passed away August 19, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born March 11, 1918 in St. Joseph, Missouri.Jake was a resident of Portland and Pendleton, Oregon for 14 years, moving to Lake Havasu 23 years ago from Tracy, California. He worked for the Defense Supply Agency for the US Government, packing medical supplies and other needed supplies for the military. He was an employee for them 12 years in Tracy, California.Mr. Mack was a proud veteran in US Air Force serving during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. After serving in the Air Force, he continued serving his country in the Air National Guard in Portland, Oregon.He has been a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the DAV and the NARFE.He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary J. Mack of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son Howard J. Mack also of Lake Havasu; daughters Ruth Emma Leitzell of Bullhead City, Arizona and Cynthia Susan Bidwell of Santa Rosa, California; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.A visitation will be held Thursday, August 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23rd, 10:00 AM at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Larry Lundin officiating. Interment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
