Donald Clyde Belles, 74, passed away September 13, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born March 21, 1928 in Vernoma, Oregon to Clyde & Charlotte Belles.Clyde moved to Lake Havasu City 2 1/2 years ago from Lakeside, Oregon. He had been a crane operator for Peter Kiewit Co. in Washington for 28 years.Mr. Belles was a member of Lake Havasu Baptist Church. He loved dancing and shooting pool at the Senior Center. He was awarded "Master Jetty Builder" from the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1989.He was a proud veteran in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.Donald is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Yo Belles of Lake Havasu; son, Doran Belles of Medford, Oregon; daughter, Kelley Krug of Tualatin, Oregon; brother Dave Belles of Bellingham, Washington; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Services will be held in Oregon at a later date.The family requests donations to be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
