Carmen Joseph Noto 90, of Lake Havasu City, formerly of Princetin, IL; died Saturday, September 28th, 2002 after suffering a stroke.Carmen was born in DuBois, PA; to Pasquale and Anna Noto on June 18th, 1912. He married Bernice Martin Noto on May 13th, 1940 in Chicago, IL. She preceeded him in in 1985.While living in Princeton, IL., the Noto's owned and operated several restaurants and raised chickens for Rip's. Carmen also operated a barber shop for many years and played the trumpet in local bands. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, IL; and a member of the Elks Lodge. They also operated several restaurants in Arizona. He was active in the Lake Havasu Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2399, Elks Bowling League, the Community Orchestra as well as in several other bands.He is survived by a daughter, Connie Keplar and husband Don of Peoria, IL; son Pat Noto and wife Sandra of Ottawa, IL; brother John Noto of Stamford, CT; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a friend, Laurette Morissette of Lake Havasu City, Az. Carmen was preceeded in by three sisters, Sarah Dio Guardi of Mount Morris, NY; Marian Nosek and Jospehine DeSalvo both of Princeton, IL.Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 2nd, 2002 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel from 6 to 8 PM with Deacon Tom Coe conducting a rosary at 7 PM. Elks Lodge of Sorrow will take place at 7:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2002 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at l0:00 AM with Father Anthony Naaeke officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday, October 3rd, 2002 at 1:00 PMMemorials may be directed to the family, in care of Pat Noto, Ottawa, IL; to be used for a music scholarship memorial.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
