Walter Sienkewicz, 83, passed away peacefully October 3, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born October 24, 1918 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to Walter and Wilma "Zur" Sienkewicz.Walter moved to Lake Havasu 15 years ago from Las Cruces, New Mexico. He spent many years as a steel worker working for J&L Steel in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.Mr. Sienkewicz was a proud member of the US Army during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, the V.F.W, the D.A.V and the London Bridge Amateur Radio Association.He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Valeria Sienkewicz of Lake Havasu and his two sisters, Blanche Gregor and Gladys Blanarik, both of Ambridge, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in by his mother, father, stepfather and three children from a former marriage.Visitation will be held Monday, October 7 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. The rosary will follow at 2:00 and then the Scripture service will be at 2:30, all to be held in Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Deacon Tom DeFilippis will officiate and the V.F.W. Post 9401 will hold military honors.The family ask that contributions be made to an organization of choice.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
