Obituary of Mary Ann Peters

Mary Ann (Weiss) Peters, 85, passed away on January 13, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Edwin and Margaret Weiss on August 13, 1930 in Hartford, Wisconsin. She was wed to Walter Peters on October 28, 1950 in the St. Lawrence Church in Hartford, WI; they were happily married for 61 years. After marriage, they moved to West Bend, WI then moved to Lake Havasu City to live with her daughter in July, 2014. Mary worked 28 years at Amity Leather Company in West Bend, WI until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with her husband, reading, needlework, and spending time playing with her granddog Maggie. She was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, in West Bend, WI from 1950 to 2014 and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Havasu City from 2014 to 2016. She was very kind to everyone and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Peter (Thomas) of Lake Havasu City, AZ and sister, Sr. Dorothy Weiss of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death on May 14, 2012 by her husband, Walter Peters. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Margaret Weiss; daughter, Christine Peters; siblings, Willard Weiss; Sr. Lucille Weiss, Helen Mueller, Edwin Weiss, Jr., and Anthony Weiss. Services and burial will be held at a later date at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend, WI. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
