Almeda B. (Evans) Sebastian was born on October 18, 1910 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. She was a four year resident at Lake Hills Inn nursing home, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She and her husband, Floyd made their home in Yukon, Oklahoma prior to his in 1989. Almeda made her living as an Interior Decorator prior to her retirement in 1970. She worked in many custom homes. One of the homes belonged to Howard Hughes of Palm Springs, California. Almeda laughed about Mr. Hughes being so cheap, that he wanted to take down the drapes and use them to cover his furniture.We would like to thank the staff at Lake Hills Inn nursing home for the loving care they gave Almeda over the years.Almeda went home to the Lord on November 9, 2002. She has joined her beloved husband of 57 years, Floyd C. Sebastian, one great grandson, her parents, Clarence L. Evans and Laura L. (Gatchel) Evans, her five brothers and three sisters. Think of the celebration in heaven when she arrived.Almeda leaves behind four children and their spouses. Sons, Vernon Sebastian and his wife Donna, Jim Sebastian and his wife Janet, Tom Sebastian and his wife Terry; daughter, Carolyn (Carol) Sebastian; one sister, W. Jean Evans; one sister-in-law, Della Blaney and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.A viewing will be held at Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, Oklahoma on November 15, 2002 from 9:00 until 8:00 PM. Graveside services will also be held in Yukon, Oklahoma at Yukon Cemetery on November 16, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
