Evelyn Ryckman, wife and mother, 79, died with her family at her side on May 12, 2006 at her home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on November 27, 1926 in her parents' home in Brooklyn, NY to parents, Jacob Harry Rudin and Bessie Rudin of Bialystok and Vilna, Poland, respectively.Evelyn went to school and graduated from Erasmus High School in Brooklyn, NY at night. She worked during the day to provide the funds to support her mother due to the pre-mature death of her father, Jacob. Evelyn met her husband from being an Opera singer at the Amato Opera Company in New York, NY. Evelyn worked for 30 years as the New York State Supreme Court, Family Court Judges' Stenographer and Office Assistant in Hauppauge, NY. Evelyn helped administer aid to families located in Long Island going through separation and divorce. This is all indicative of the strength and humanity that Evelyn Ryckman embodied and gave to others in her professional, personal and family lives.Evelyn Ryckman enjoyed living in Lake Havasu, soap operas, cooking, singing Opera and contributing to the growth and support of her sons and her husband.Evelyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Albert Ryckman and son of 46 years, Jay Howard Ryckman, who will greatly miss her.Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard Bruce Ryckman.A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home., 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2006, 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
