Obituary of Kathleen VEIVER

Kathleen Corine Veiver 85, passed away at her residence in Lake Havasu City, AZ., on November 25th, 2002. She was born on October 19th, 1917 in Newark, Ohio to Luther and Kathryn (Stapleman) Echelberry. She moved to Arizona 51 years ago from Las Vegas, NV., and has lived in Lake Havasu City, Az., for 13 years. Kay worked as a sales clerk for Saks Fifth Avenue in Las Vegas, Nv. for 5 years. During WWII Kay worked as a riveter, assembling B-24 ers in Goodyear, then worked many years in retail clothing at Dillards and Saks Fifth Avenue. She was a member of the Lionesses, Art Guild and Crafty Cats. In her spare time she was a Cub Scout Den Mother and also enjoyed painting and arts & crafts. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Varnal Veiver of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons Kent Veiver of Lake Havasu City, Az; Mark Veiver of Portland, OR; daughter Vicki Pickle or Reno, NV; sister Louise Hodges of Phoenix, AZ;. grandchildren Thomas Foley, Janel Echeveste, Sadie Veiver, great grandchildren Travis and Amanda Johnson and Jesse & Jason Echeveste. She was preceded in by grandaughter Shannon Johnson. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, November 30th, 2002 @ 2:00 PM. with Chaplain Kathy Kenney officiating.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home
