Melvin Lee Ward Jr., 58, passed away December 8, 2002 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on November 9, 1944 in Florence, Arizona to Melvin & Harriet (Sanger) Ward.Melvin moved to Lake Havasu seven years ago from Bakersfield, California. He did security at the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino at Havasu Landing, California for 4 years.Melvin served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He has also been a member of the Lakeview Community Church.He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jennifer Ward of Lake Havasu; sons, Sean Ward and Timothy Ward both of Lake Havasu and Patrick Ward of Parowan, Utah; daughters, Colleen Carson and Shannon Ward both of Parowan, Utah; brothers, Michael Ward of Agoura Hills, California and Timothy Ward of Upland, California; one sister Kathi Jorgerssen of Temecula, California and eight grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at the family residence, Saturday, December 14 at 3:00 PM with family and friends officiating.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
