Obituary of Anne Belle McGuire

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anne Belle McGuire passed away of natural causes on May 29, 2013 in the home of Judy and Michael Ganas of Lake Havasu City, surrounded by her family. Anne was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 25, 1925 to Kenny and Ann Oborne. She met her husband, Howard McGuire in California while he was stationed nearby during World War II, and the two were married in 1946. Anne and Howard had 5 daughters, Judy, Becky, Mary, Ellen and Molly. Anne is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister Lucy and husband Cully Ingram and Howard's brother Richard and his wife Lee, and many nieces and nephews. Anne's dog Little Bit will miss her too. Howard and Anne lived in California where Anne spent her time raising her children and making a home for them all. She loved to cook and spent hours sewing for her girls and later for Molly's synchronized swimming team. She left many friends in Vallejo, Chula Vista and Camarillo California. In 1984 they moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona for Howard's health. Howard passed away in 1994. Lost without him, Anne performed volunteer work at Havasu Regional Medical Center for many years. She traveled with Bartlett Tours to many locations but especially loved Branson, Missouri. She loved going to musicals, reading and delighted in making clothes for her grandchildren as she had for her own daughters. She attended Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church. Anne will not be forgotten. She was our sunshine, our only sunshine. She made us happy when skies were gray. We hope she knows just how much we love her, why did you take our sunshine away. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday June 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu in Anne's name. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
