Obituary of Cornelius Chavez

Cornelius Chavez passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at his residence in Lake Havasu City at the age of 77. Cornelius was born on April 23, 1936 in Stine, Nevada to Elgin and Rita (Gallegos) Chavez. Cornelius and his wife moved to Lake Havasu City 8 years ago from Carson City, Nevada where he worked as an RV mechanic. In Lake Havasu, he worked for Sir Edwards Shuttle and also found time to coach Pop Warner Football. Cornelius is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Karen; sons Lucas Chavez of Lake Havasu City and Michael Chavez and his wife Gina of Hawaii; daughters Dawn Phelps and her husband Ron of Lake Havasu City; Tammy Reisenauer and her husband Pete of Bakersfield, CA, Tracy Chaney and her husband Dan of Henderson, NV, and Toni Semler and her husband Jim of Cottonwood, AZ as well as 16 grandchildren.
