Obituary of Marvin Derrell Stanfield
Please share a memory of Marvin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marvin Derrell Stanfield passed away May 30, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Marvin was born July 31, 1936 in Beaverton, Or to Alvin Stanfield and Rose (Sallee). He was one of four brothers, Kenneth, Harvey and Jack Stanfield, all older and now deceased.
Most of his younger productively working years were spent in Southern California as a Salesman and Designer working with a family owned and operated custom shutter business, a job he found very interesting, which suited him well.
He and his brothers all shared a love for the water and spent many enjoyable days sailing, fishing and boating on the Pacific Ocean and later Lake Havasu City.
He and wife Lynda were married for 47 years, sharing a long and loving relationship together. They both retired to Lake Havasu City in the early 90's and have been there ever since.
Marvin had a wonderful family of four sons and one daughter, Derrell, Steve, Kevin, Kelly and Jill which brought much joy into his life.
He dearly treasured the many special times he shared with his grandchildren (12) and great grandchildren (5).
He will be fondly remembered as Stan, Dad, Pop Pop and Grandpa. There were many good friends along the way with many good times together.
We will all miss him greatly as he goes to rest in eternal peace with our Lord, but the many wonderful memories and love will linger on.
If wished donations can be made in Marvin's name to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association 2126 McCulloch Blvd Suite 7., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405-1410
