Denver Winfield Greer, 79, passed away February 2, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Scott & Leora (Ligons) Greer on June 8, 1923 in Fisk, Missouri.Mr. Greer has been a resident of Lake Havasu for 1 year and is a fulltime resident of Springfield, Oregon. He had been a self employed real estate broker for 25 years in McAlester, Oklahoma.Denver retired from the military, serving in both the US Navy and US Army during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, life member of V.F.W. Post #3649, life member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and life member of the Masons.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marie Greer; sons, Rusty Greer of Stockton, California and Sam Kemp of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Sheila Glass of Keysor, West Virginia and Joanie Glasik of Georgia; brother, Delmar Greer of Eugene, Oregon; sister, Mavis Goosela of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date in Eugene, Oregon.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
