Gilbert A. Gomez, 87, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2003 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born November 23, 1915 in Phoenix, Arizona.Gilbert and his wife moved here 16 years ago from California. He retired from Alcoa in Vernon, California after 30 years.Gilbert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eleanor; two daughters, Eleanor Romo and Frances Barclay of Lake Havasu City; two sisters, Amelia Searcy and Lita Blackwood, both of Chula Vista, California; brother, Richard Gomez of Oregon; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.Gilbert was preceded in by his daughter, Emily Walls.Gilbert was dearly loved by his family and will be deeply missed.Graveside service and burial was held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Tuesday, February 18, 2003, 10:30 AM.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
