Obituary of Leland SQUIRES

Leland E. Squires 70, passed away at his winter residence in Lake Havavas City, Az; on February 27th, 2003. He was born on May 27th, 1932 in Lindsey, Wisconsin to George and Minnie (Venzke) Squires.Leland was a winter visitor from Marshfield, WI. He worked as a statetrooper for 5 years before becoming a salesman for Homelite a manufacturing firm in Green Bay, Wisconsin for 20 years. Leland was a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge. He also served in the U.S. Army, Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Squire of Lake Havasu City, Az. & Marshfield, WI; sons Mark Squires of Helena, MT; Kent Squires of Weatherford, TX; Peter Squires and wife Julie of Cartersville GA; Patrick Squires and wife Pamela of Marshfield, WI; brothers Clayton Squires and wife Ruth; Lavern Squires and wife Elsie both of Racine, WI; George Squires and wife Emily of Middleton, WI; sisters Margaret Falkenstein and husband Fred of Hartford, WI; Darlene Sherritt and husband Jerry of Barberton, OHl; Lorna Bartley of Winterhaven, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Megan and Peter Jr. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Kenneth, Calvin and Marvin.Family request dontations be made to Hospice of Havasu and Hospice of Marshfield, WI.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
