William H. Millman, age 82, passed away on March 2, 2003 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born in Philadelphia on March 12, 1920, he was the son of James and Marie Millman. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Gertrude "Sis"; daughter, Donna Massing; son-in-law, Michael Massing; two grandsons, Joshua Bryan and Daniel Bryan. Also surviving are his brother, James Millman; sister, Marie Gregroy and sister Eleanor Yarnall.Bill proudly served as a medic in the Americal Division of the Army in WWII. He worked as a maintenance engineer for ARCO in Philadelphia for 28 years and retired in 1975. In 1976, he began to drive the local shuttle bus in Bellmawr, New Jersey. Everyone in town knew him as "Bill the bus driver". He drove the bus for 13 years and retired again in 1994 at age 74.Bill was an active associate member of the Bellmawr Park Fire Company for many years. Upon moving to Lake Havasu City in 1998, he became a member of the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.Bill was truly loved by all that knew him. He was a great family man and a true friend.A visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Graveside services and interment will follow the visitation at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens and 11:30 AM with the V.F.W. Post 9401 and the American Legion holding military honors.Family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
