James R. Otto, Jr. of Lake Havasu City died June 23, 2015 at his home. He was 95 years old, born on November 3, 1919 in Lansing, MI. He graduated from Michigan State University and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in February, 1942 and discharged in November, 1945. In 1984 he retired from Ohio Valley Electric Corp., a bulk power supplier as Assistant Treasurer. He and his wife, Barbara moved to Lake Havasu in 1991. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, the Kiwanis Golden K, former Elk for 25 years, past accountant for Western Arizona Humane Society and a golf and computer bug. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara of 40 years and brother, Allen T. Otto. He is survived by brothers, Jack L. Otto, Richard E. Otto, Thomas L. Otto; sister, Mary Lou Fahres; daughters, Wilsa Mae Ashby, Candra Lue Kondos; granddaughter, Allison Ramsay; 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and my dear friend, Mae Difabio. A memorial service will be on July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Community Presbyterian Church. Donations can be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice in lieu of flowers.
