Obituary of Alma SCHIMKAT

Alma Schimkat 91, passed away Sunday evening, March 16th, 2003 at her home in Kingman, AZ. Born March 14th, 1912, she grew up in Germany where she married Richard Schimkat.In 1952 she moved to Benton Harbor, MI;, and in 1974 moved to Scottsdale, Az., where she attended Scottsdale First Assembly of God and became involved in Women's Aglow. After moving to Lake Havasu City, Az., in 1987 she attended Stonebridge Christian Fellowship Women's Aglow and Lakeview Community Church.Alma loved to go for walks and tell people about Jesus. She became widowed after 63 years of marriage and recently moved to Kingman, AZ., to live with her son and daughter-in-law.She is survived by her loving family Rick and Jodene Schimkat, Alfred and Floris Schetlitzki, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.A visitation will be held at Lakeview Community Church on Friday, March 21st, 2003 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Runyon officiating.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
