Obituary of Carol Elizabeth Thompson

Carol Elizabeth Thompson, 73 of Kingman Went to be with her Lord and Savior
Tuesday June 23rd. She was born March 8th 1942 in Des Plaines, Ill. The 2nd
child of Harry and Olga Walsh.
She moved from Illinois to Phoenix AZ at age 10 with her parents and at age
11 they moved to Kingman. Carol graduated with the class of 1960 from
Mohave County Union High School in Kingman.
Carol worked at Dairy Queen, A&W and Sears in the 1960's. She fell in love
with and married Verl Lee Thompson August 22, 1965. They had 3 children
together. After 31 years of marriage Verl preceded her in death on April 14, 1996.
She is survived by her 3 children- Zack Kevin Grimm , Karen Pacleb
(Neal) and Keith Thompson.
Grand children are- Kevin Grimm , Keona and Keahi Pacleb, and Kayla, Keith
and Kalvin Thompson.
Sisters and brothers are- Thomas Walsh (Jutta), Florence Cunningham,
Susan Olson (Ron deceased), Kathleen Allmon (Kenn deceased), Timothy Walsh
( Denise), Lynn Donohoe ( Duane) and Terry Walsh ( Sherry)
Sisters and Brother In-laws- Sharon Mabry ( George deceased), Monte "Butch"
Thompson ( Carol) and Leann Bowman (Ron deceased)
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol is and always will be missed and loved by her family and friends. She
was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and
grandmother. Very humble and generous to a fault and would go without to
make sure her children always had the best. Her joy was serving the Lord
and taking care of her family.
She instilled in her children a foundation of faith as believers in Christ Jesus and with
that foundation we confess with our tongue Jesus is Lord and are assured we will be
together again for all eternity. Carol was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran
Church.
Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: For thou, Lord, only
makest me dwell in safety.
Psalm 91:2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God;
in Him will I trust.
Services will be held beginning at 10am Wednesday July 1st, At Cross of
Christ Lutheran Church, 4045 N Van Nuys Road, Kingman AZ. Interment will
follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill RD.
