Obituary of Lyle Devillo Robb

Lyle Devillo Robb passed away at 92 years of age on June 24, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Lisle Sidney and Lucinda Beatrice Robb in Norwich, NY. He was wed to Janice Morgan on September 15, 1945 in Norwich, NY; they were married for 60 years. He was employed in consumer banking and he was a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam serving in the U.S. Army for 28 years. He received many meritorious awards including the bronze star. Lyle enjoyed golf, playing bridge with Church ladies, spending time with friends, bowling, bingo, reading (particularly Westerns), making clam dip for his great-granddaughter and telling stories about growing up on a dairy farm. He was a very religious, caring and dedicated member of Grace Episcopal Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles Lodge. Lyle is survived by his daughters, Linda Robb (Vincent Bova) of Long Beach, CA, Elizabeth Horn (Bob Horn) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Carol Applebaum of Honolulu, HI; granddaughters, Stephanie Gandy (Mike), Jennifer Collins (Jason); grandsons, Justin Applebaum, Trevor Applebaum; great-grandchildren, Kylee Collins, Jarron Gandy, and Shayne Gandy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Robb; parents, Beatrice and Lisle; and son-in-law, Ellis Applebaum. The family would like to thank Sun Haven Assisted Living, the many doctors of Lake Havasu City, and Hospice of Havasu for taking such great care of him. In lieu of flowers donations can made to Grace Episcopal Church. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Grace Episcopal Church.
