Jenny E. Gouthro, 72, our Mom and Beloved Wife of Don Gouthro, passed away on June 4, 2003 due to a sudden medical illness at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on July 11, 1931 in Montague, Prince Edward Island, Canada.Jenny moved from Garden Grove, Calif. in 1976 to Lake Havasu City. She retired from Lake Hills Inn Nursing Center in 2001 where she was known for her smile and compassion when helping patients.During her retirement she loved to spend time with her two daughters and grandchildren who also reside in Lake Havasu. She loved the surprise visits she received from her surviving 10 children (5 boys & 5 s, from all over the country) and never stopped trying to feed each one of us. Jenny was known for her smile and love for everyone. She was a kind and unselfish mother who always found time to listen to her kids, her neighbors and of course her loving husband, Don.Before her passing, Jenny had recently united with a brother (Ralph Taylor) who was adopted by another family at birth. this was one of her most joyous occasions to meet her big brother who she never knew she had.She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Donald Gouthro and children, Don of Norco, Calif., Vince of Chicago, Ill., Heather Meek of Lake Havasu, Rick of East Lansing, Mich., Joe of Milwaukee, Wisc., Kathy Cadotte of Lake Havasu, Scott of Greenfield, Wisc., Joni of Murrieta, Calif., Carolyn of Greenfield, Wisc. and Tammy of Sacramento, Calif., Lori Barnyak of Murieta, Calif. She is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren, Corey, Denise, Robby, Nicole, Justin, Jerri, Brandon, Jayme, Donny, Dougie, Dominic, Jennifer, Mickey, Jennifer, Shaun and Katlyn; seven great grandchildren,Casey, Gregory, Tatum, Quinton, Kiley, Brady and Brandon, Jr. (expected to be born June 7); her brother Ralph Taylor of Northampton, Mass. and sister Evelyn Chalker of Montague, P.E.I., Canada.A visitation will be held Monday, July 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, July 10 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with funeral services following at 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Rev. Richard Rounds will officiate.In lieu of flowers, all donations are to be sent in care of Donald F. Gouthro at 865 Cashmere, G-1, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. 86404.Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home made the arrangements.
