Charles "Chuck" J. Romer 72, passed away on June 15th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ; He was born on on January 16th, 1931 in Havey, Illinois to Matt and Edna (Gutowski) Romer.Chuck moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 20 years ago from South Bend, Indiana. He was a retired Chairman of the Board for Northwest Arizona Distributor's in Kingman, Arizona for 20 years, which is a wholesaler for Anheuser Busch Inc. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, American Legion, Eagles, Ducks Unlimited, A.A.R.P. and proudly served in the U.S. Navy, Korean Conflict. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan Romer of Lake Havasu City, Az; son Charles "Chip" Romer and wife Teri of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Stacy Romer-Kirkwood and husband James of Lake Havasu City, Az; and 4 grandchildren, Jesse, Zachary, Matthew and Ashley.A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 18th, 2003 at 12:00 Noon with Father Michael Deptula officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation,Neuro-Oncology Research, 1920 E. Cambridge Ave. Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ; 85016Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
