Obituary of Betty VERSTEEGH

Betty Versteegh, 73, passed away June 15, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Fulp & Cranija Groen on August 15, 1929 in The Hague, Netherlands.Betty moved to America with her husband Alfred in 1962. She worked at Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, California as chief cook for 23 years. She retired in 1993 and moved to Arizona. There, she spent many years serving the Lord at Havasu Christian Church.Betty loved square dancing and traveling.She is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Emley F. Al Masri of Brighton, Mich. and Patricia L. Steffer of Lake Havasu; brothers, Ab Groen and Leon Groen, both of Holland and one sister, Maija Deroij also of Holland. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren.Her husband, Alfred precedes her in death.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
