John (Jack) H. Moore Jr., age 62, passed away on June 17, 2003 at home in Lake Havasu, Arizona after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born September 8, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John H. Moore Sr. and Beverly Jensen Moore.Graduated from Olympus High School and served in the National Guard. Married Sandra L. Sainsbury, January 12, 1966 in Reno, Nevada. They made their home in Sandy, Utah. Retired from Kennecott after 32 years of service. Later moving to Lake Havasu, Arizona in 1998. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping especially in Idaho and West Yellowstone where he loved to spend time.A loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.He is survived by his wife, Sandy, sons, Michael & John Brian, daughters, Cindy (David) Fisher & Katrina Butterfield, mother, Beverly Moore, sisters, Barbara Fasenmeyer and Kathy Moore, 6 grandchildren, Tera, Stephen, Tracy, Jospeh, Dustin and Kelsie. Preceded in by father John H. Moore Sr.The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Lake Havasu.Graveside services will be held Monday June 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 S. Vine St. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. Sunday 5 - 7 p.m..Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
