M. Buck Craig was born in Los Angeles, California to Harriet Morton and Noble Craig on November 4, 1936, who preceded him in . He passed away Saturday, June 21, 2003 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., surrounded by his loving family.He is survived by his beloved and cherished wife, Patti Craig of Lake Havasu; son, Steve Craig and his wife Laura of Mission Viejo, Calif; daughter, Holly Craig of Granite Bay, Calif; stepchildren, JoAnn Crawley and her husband, Ron of Lake Havasu, Michael Parravano of Murrieta, Calif; grandchildren, Blake and Jake Craig of Mission Viejo, Calif, Jesse Crawley and Ron Crawley II of Lake Havasu, Michael, Lee and Angelina Parravano, all of San Diego, Calif; sisters, Barbara Allison and her husband Eldie of Panquich, Utah and Dana Craig of Big Bear, Calif; brothers, Bill Craig and his wife, Pat of Lake Havasu and Noble Craig and his wife Elena of Kennewich, Wash. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, friends and his faithful, loving dog Keno.Buck owned and operated Armor Fence Co. in California for 30 years and was instrumental in starting Armor Fence Co. in Lake Havasu, Ariz. He was employed with the Harbor Patrol on Catalina Island, Calif. as a young man. He also served in the US Armed Forces as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne.His love of the ocean, boating, fishing, scuba diving, traveling, visiting with his children and grandchildren, trips to Laughlin and quiet time with his wife and best friend, Patti were just a few of his many interest. Although his time in this life was cut short, his love of family, friends and life are truly timeless. His gentleness, kindness, compassion, generosity and zest for life touched all of our hearts who truly knew Buck Craig. It was an honor and privilege to know such a wonderful man. He was a warm, loving husband, father, grandfather and special friend. Although he will be missed and an emptiness will be in our daily lives, he will live on in the hearts and minds of all who love him. Until we meet again - we love you, Buck.The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Dover and his entire staff at the Oncology Center of Lake Havasu and Hospice of Havasu for their treatment, care and genuine concern. You made a difficult journey easier to bear. Thank you.A celebration of Buck's life is planned for July 19, 2003 at 3:00 pm at the home of Ron and JoAnn Crawley. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Buck Craig may be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
