Nickolas J. Lovich, 87, passed away on June 25th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center. He was born December 1st. 1915 in Gary, Indiana. Nickolas moved to Lake Havasu City, Az; 9 years ago from Crown Point, IN. He worked as a steel worker for U.S. Steel in Gary, IN; for 37 years. Nickolas proudly served in the U.S.Navy WWII. He enjoyed fishing, loved the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher.Nickolas is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Frances C. Lovich of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son Jerold Lovich and wife Donna of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Francine Kanclier and husband James of Sacramento, CA; brother Michael T. Lovich of Griffith, Indiana, grandchildren Kathleen Sidway and husband Jon, Mark Lovich, Michael Lovich and wife Edna, Karen Karwath and husband Bart, Susan Kanclier, John Kanclier and wife Susie and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Thursday, June 26th, 2003 from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th, 2003 at l0:00 AM wiith Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his name to Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Building Fund.Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
