George was born at "Queen of Angels" Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars in Lake Havasu City. He is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Lenore (McCrumb) and George Lawrence Molitor II of Hot Springs, SD; brothers, Roger Wayne of Orange County, CA and Gerald Leroy of Wilmington, NC. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Dean Lake Havasu City. George's great passion was aviation; at 14 years of age he worked at Fullerton Airport pumping gas to airplanes and started flying lessons there. After returning from Vietnam with the U.S. Army, George researched the Veterans Benefits and found their education benefits, so got his Private and went to Martin Aviation, Orange County Airport (now John Wayne Airport) and attained his Commercial, Instrument and Multi-engine ratings. He and a partner purchased a twin Beechcraft airplane and worked it as a skydiving airplane and occasionally chartered freight from Long Beach to Catalina Island. He also had a stint with Catalina Airlines as a mechanic where he learned the Grumman Goose and Pratt-Whitney motors. George went back to school and got his Flight Instructor Rating in 1975 and purchased a Cessna 150 that he used as a trainer and signed up several students. In 1979, George moved to Lake Havasu (with the 150) and started working as a flight instructor. He was with Havasu Aviation on the old "Island Airport" and came to the new airport as Chief Instructor for the first business on the site, Gimbel Aviation. George was instrumental in Chartering the "London Bridge Chapter 681, Experimental Aircraft Association" in Lake Havasu and joined the "London Bridge Composite Squadron 501 Civil Air Patrol" in early 1984 and stayed active in both organizations. George was a volunteer driver for the Disabled American Veterans transportation system, driving Veterans to Prescott, AZ for their doctor appointments. He served a second assignment as a member of the Lake Havasu City Airport Advisory Board and was a current Chairman. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
