JEWEL E. ROGERSLongtime ResidentJewel E. Rogers passed away on Sunday July 27th, 2003 at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona after an extended illness.Jewel was born and raised in Oakland, California across the bay from San Francisco, California.In 1950 she married William Rogers and within four years had two sons. William's job in the government meant the family traveled from Wake Island in the Pacific to Frankfurt, Germany.Upon his retirement in 1981 William and Jewel moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.Jewel is survived by her loving husband William E. Rogers Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, son William E. Rogers III of Indio, California and one grandchild.Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 30th, 2003 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel. A rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M.. A funeral mass will be held on Friday August 1st, 2003 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. with Father Charles Murphy officiating.Jewel was a wonderful mother and a loving wife, she will be dearly missed.Many thanks for the help from Hospice of Havasu and the Rose of Sharon.In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
